Guiding Principles

Guiding Principles is the process used by the US Federal Government to meet Executive Orders. It includes sample policies, surveys, and calculators, as well as task reminders, and alerts about opportunities to elevate your practices. Tasking tools that allow managers to easily delegate tasks to the most appropriate team member, allowing them to input first-hand data on a daily basis, and to share that data with the rest of the team.

Energy Star

ZIA for Buildings is also an ENERGY STAR Web Service provider and will coordinate all energy and utility data with Energy Star Portfolio Manager for your team. ZIA for Buildings maps your data to Energy Star; saving your team precious time and ensuring data integrity. ZIA for Buildings is designed for the user who wants to incrementally improve their facility to meet industry best practices and ultimately reduce the their environmental impact.

LEED EBOM

The U.S. Green Building Council's LEED green building certification system is the foremost program for the design, construction, maintenance and operation of green buildings. Over 40,000 projects are currently participating in the commercial and institutional LEED rating systems, comprising more than 8.3 billion square feet of construction space in all 50 states and 120 countries. In addition, more than 12,000 homes have been certified under the LEED for Homes rating system, with nearly 58,000 more homes registered. By using less energy, LEED-certified buildings save money for families, businesses and taxpayers; reduce greenhouse gas emissions; and contribute to a healthier environment for residents, workers and the larger community. ZIA supports this rating system.

Green Globes

The Green Globes online assessment protocol, rating system and guidance for green building design, operation and management is interactive, flexible and affordable, and provides market recognition of a building’s environmental attributes through third-party verification. The robust document management features of the ZIA for Buildings tool support this rating system.
